Like so many of us, we took a travel hiatus due to the craziness of the last 2 years. We planned to travel to Switzerland during the summer of 2020 and you know how that ended...CANCELLED. Then we ambitiously booked it again for the summer of 2021... and CANCELLED again! The third time is a … Continue reading Swiss Summer

NOLA
I try to get back to New Orleans as often as I can. I lived there from when I was two to when I left for college. It is always fun to get back to see friends and enjoy the unique history and architecture of the Big Easy! When I go back, it is usually … Continue reading NOLA
Sunset Boat Ride
Mission Bay Sportcenter was just across the bay from our rental house. We decided to rent a pontoon boat for our crew. We picked it up and drove it around the bay for a couple hours. It was a nice relaxing end to our day.
A Day in La Jolla
One area we wanted to spend more time in was La Jolla. I booked a kayak tour through Everyday California to explore the La Jolla Sea Caves. We had terrific tour guides and really enjoyed being out in the ocean. Check out their Instagram @everydaycalifornia for the latest info! Post kayak tour, our tummies were … Continue reading A Day in La Jolla
Legoland, California
In addition to beach time, we knew we had to hit up Legoland, California! With two huge Lego fans, it was a no-brainer. There was a new Deep Sea Adventure ride that we had to check out. And of course, we couldn't miss Miniland, the WaterPark, StarWars, and Heartlake City! We spent the whole … Continue reading Legoland, California
Sightseeing around Seattle
While traveling, we were averaging 10 miles of walking a day! The kids have a Vivofit Jr. that tracks their steps, GG's been checking her Apple Watch, and I've been reviewing my iPhone Health App...we compared notes and were all pretty close to one another. We've been covering a lot of ground. We had checked … Continue reading Sightseeing around Seattle
Whistler & Seattle
Woke up in Whistler, BC and went to bed in Seattle, Washington. Rise and shine...we woke up in Whistler and knew we wanted to experience a little more of what Whistler had to offer. We went on an approx 3-mile pre-breakfast walk around Lost Lake which had a fantastic view from the dock. The Tiny … Continue reading Whistler & Seattle
Wishing I was still in Whistler…
On our way into town, we stopped at Whistler Olympic Park where you can experience the biathlon, hiking, biking, and more. We only had a little time to spend so we checked out the ski jump and let the kids experience the biathlon. We had an Olympic hopeful, Hannah, instruct the kids at the shooting … Continue reading Wishing I was still in Whistler…
Grueling Grouse Grind
We had heard about the Grouse Grind from a friend who had pushed her way to the top. We spontaneously asked GG to watch the kids in the AM while Gary and I hiked straight up Grouse Mountain for approx 2 miles. Appropriately called Nature's Stairmaster...it is one way straight up, no downhill hiking due … Continue reading Grueling Grouse Grind
Pedaling Our Way Through Vancouver
Gary and I are big fans of bike tours while traveling. You get to see a lot in a short amount of time. We like to do them early in our trips so that we can go back to any spots if we need to. We've done tours in Paris, Barcelona, Munich, two in London, … Continue reading Pedaling Our Way Through Vancouver
